The Ladies of Drum and Feather Farm

These mares have all been chosen for their lovely dispositions and for characteristics that are exemplary of the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse. They are all good individuals, in their own rights, and should produce outstanding Gypsy Cob, Drum Horse and Sport Horse foals. We are expecting 7 foals in 2006. These will all be beautiful athletic foals. If you think you might be interested in a superb Gypsy Cob or Drum Horse foal, contact us early. Reference photos of the sires are at the bottom of the page.

King Creek Donna

Donna was the Queen of Hearts, around here. Sadly, we lost her to a lightning strike in 2009.  She is missed more than words can say.

Donna's last foal, DF Kingdom Come, aka Moby

Celine D. (aka Baby C) It's well known, by now, how much we like the lovely black ones. Well, this new yearling filly may not be black all the way to the ground (the way we prefer them), but she's pretty close. And how could we pass up something this gorgeous?  We just love her!!

Newsflash: Celine has now been inspected and received 1st Premium in both the In-hand division and the working division.  This makes Celine North America's very first Model Mare!

DF Love Potion (aka Lolly) - Lolly is our homebred Drum Horse Filly that we simply couldn't part with.  Lolly is sired by our very own Spellcaster and is out of Ali, making her a half sister to the Stunning DF Chalk Talk, owned by Mariah Farms. Lolly is not only beautiful, she has proven breeding behind her. Lolly has attended 2 shows and stood Champion Mare and Best of Breed at both shows.  She was also inspected and received a 1st Premium, earning her Star Predicate.  We think she's a wonderful example of the foundation breeding of Drum Horses.

Lolly's first foal was born in 2009.  Boo was inspected and received a 1st Premium in the Youngstock Division.  He also attended the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Assoc. sponsored, Heartland Feathered Classic, the largest Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse show in the country, where he won his class colt class and stood Res. Champion.  Boo is currently the only buckskin Drum Horse in the country.

Watch here for a couple new additions.

LaTourrette - LT is a reg. Anglo Trakhener mare standing 16.1. She has a lovely, sweet disposition and is a real beauty. LT is by the German horse, Insterruf who was sired by Schwalbenflug (by Impuls and out of Schwaze Schalbe 2822)

LT is now 26 years old and retired but she will stay here on the farm with us for the rest of her life and be doted on for the lovely mare that she is.
